Welcome to the Texas Buckeye Trail!!!
As part of the City of Dallas' Trinity River Corridor Project (TRCP), construction on the Texas Buckeye Trail, designed to be available for use by people of all physical abilities, is set to begin this fall.
A primitive three-quarter mile spur from this trail will take visitors to truly unique place in the Great Trinity Forest, a large grove of Texas Buckeye trees (Aesculus arguta) on the Trinity River in Dallas.
Bryan Kilburn, Trinity River Corridor Project (TRCP) GIS Analyst and Project Forester, worked with Southern Methodist University (SMU) student Alexis Anderson, and local naturalist Jim Flood to create an original trail experience.
The team is proud to bring to you, the first trail of its kind in the North Texas Region… The Texas Buckeye Video Trail!
They hope you enjoy the fantastic summer videos recently shot in July 2003. Be sure to visit the Trinity River Corridor Project Web site often, as the team plans to prepare a new Texas Buckeye Video Trail each season.
